AREA 2-in-1 garden side table/chair
The AREA garden side table from Danish manufacturer Cane-Line offers an innovative take on outdoor furniture – a table and chair in one. It combines multifunctionality and elegant design, and you choose how to use the product. The tabletop is made of powder-coated aluminum, and the legs are made of teak wood. If you want to use the side table as a chair and combine it with the AREA garden table, you can add a cushion for greater comfort. This innovative product was designed by the Welling/Ludvik design studio and is intended for use in all seasons, both outdoors and indoors.
Quality characteristics
Teak wood is known for its strength, moisture resistance, and resistance to atmospheric influences. In addition to its high technical, operational, and physical-mechanical characteristics, teak wood is also preferred from an aesthetic point of view. Teak wood also has many advantages – it is resistant to a wide range of temperature changes and ages relatively slowly. The teak wood used in the furniture we offer is WWF-GFTN certified, guaranteeing the origin and controlled harvesting of the material. Powder-coated aluminum has several advantages over regular liquid-coated aluminum from a functional and aesthetic point of view. The use of this method ensures a good layer, uniformity of the coating, and guarantees reliable anti-corrosion protection of metal surfaces. Powder coating is also much more resistant to impact and scratches. The result is beautiful, long-lasting surfaces achieved through a harmless technological process. The cushion fabric is Sunbrella®Natte, which combines the softness of interior textiles with the strength and durability of fabrics designed to withstand extreme weather conditions.
Maintenance and storage of garden furniture
Teak garden furniture is delivered unfinished. If the furniture remains unfinished, the teak will weather over time and take on a pale gray color. It is recommended that the wood be treated with a special protector before use as an additional protective measure against mechanical and atmospheric influences. Teak protector can be ordered in addition to the portable table. Teak wood is a natural product and therefore continues to change. This means that small cracks may develop due to the natural drying of the wood. At the beginning of the product's life cycle, teak may release natural oil. The fabric can be cleaned with a soft cloth or brush and soapy water. For stubborn stains, wash carefully with a stain remover, preferably Vanish Oxi Action, or wash the cushion covers in a washing machine at 30 degrees. It is important to store the pillows in an upright position when not in use, as this ensures good drainage, minimizing the risk of mold and mildew growth. For proper storage during the fall and winter months, it is best to keep them indoors or under a cover, and the pillows should be stored in a dry place. Appropriate size covers can be ordered separately.
